I urge you to check your credit report free credit scores. It’s important that you get a handle on your credit score and credit reporting so that everything is accurate.

Your credit score can be no more than 850 and no less than 300. With the changes with credit card regulations, the government is trying to get consumers to pay down their debt and thus helping their credit score. With the credit card regulations, your credit card APR rate may be at a better rate if you have a better credit score.

It’s important to get your free credit report check online to see what you have. A tell tale sign of a good score if it is anywhere above 700 or 800 if you are lucky.

You can have time on your side if you are meticulous about it early on in life. It’s important to check your student loan credit reports if you are still in school and getting financial help. No one else will tell you to check your score for you so you can take a look at it yourself and make sure that there are no errors.
